Our Extractions
All of our herbal tinctures are extracted using the percolation method. This method is how old pharmacies would make herbal extracts. Very simply put, the percolation method works by packing ground dried herb into a funnel and allowing the solvent (alcohol) to run through it slowly. In doing so this allows for the solvent to be exposed to the active phytochemicals and allows for it to pick up the most soluble constituents first. Resulting in a stronger and a more full spectrum extraction compared to the maceration (or folk) method. You will find our tinctures have a stronger ‘herb ratio’ than other tinctures. This is thanks to the percolation method.

Since we are a company that harvests and utilizes nature’s medicine/resources we intentionally partner with farms that practice ethical harvesting. We do our best to not use medicinal plants that are on the endangered species list and give back to The United Plant Savers whose mission is to save endangered medicinal plants and fungi.
In nature we understand the power of the entire ecosystem and partner with One Tree Planted to make a portion of every purchase go towards reforestation. Our Story
The story behind why we were created is a simple one... It starts with a woman who believed there was a better and more natural way to health care and healing.
Our founder, clinical herbalist, holistic nutritionist, student of naturopathic medicine, green tea lover, and bonafide health nut, Jacquelynn Pope is the heartbeat and hardworking woman behind the brand.
After years of noticing the shortcomings in the modern medical field she was drawn to the alternative world of medicine. In 2016 she wandered down the plant path of herbalism and studied from mentors such as Rosemary Gladstar, Sajah Popham, Susan Weed, and Matthew Wood.
After many certifications in the herbalism and holistic health world and after healing her own health issues, she opened her online health & wellness practice, Naturally Holistic Wellness in 2021 where she helps people get to the root cause of their health struggles, naturally.
After helping clients in a clinical setting she noticed the lack of comprehensive herbal formulas on the market for the common chronic health issues she was seeing. Which sparked the creation of Purely Natural Apothecary. An intentional herbal apothecary that provides ancient botanical solutions for today's common ailments. Making natural wellness more accessible to the masses.
